Mental

I have been working at the local mental hospital since about January and this Friday is my last day. Today inspired me to write things I will and will not miss.

Things I will miss about my job at the mental hospital:
1. The other interns I work with
2. One of the patients who did "voodoo" on everyone and thought that he and I were having a dirty affair on the side (he was about 60)
3. The patient who has been in the hospital for over a decade and is one of the sweetest people ever
4. Getting proposals for marriage
5. Having 3o year olds color pictures of pooh bear for me
6. Getting to eat in the jail ($2 for a chicken basket!)
7. Being entertained by the patients who claim they are secret service or own the jazz
8. Feeling like I did something to help someones life
9. Helping someone to feel better or have a better day

Things I will not miss about my job at the mental hospital:
1. Hepatitis
2. Pee on the floor
3. Pedophiles
4. The smells
5. Farts/sharts
6. Diapered patients
7. Getting yelled at by patients
8. Cleaning up hepatitis blood

I am sure I could think of 100 more.... but you get the gist of it. It was a fun job and I really enjoyed it. It opened up my eyes to a lot of things and I am glad I had the opportunity to work there, but also glad to move on and get more experience for physical therapy school.
