We called animal control and asked them what we should do with it, they said that they just take them to the dump an burry them. We didn't like that very much so Brett drove a few miles away and let him go in an empty lot. hahahahahahaha At least it's not a gator!!!!

Young Women

So a few weeks ago our entire Stake changed and all of the previous callings were dissolved. We were put into a new ward and I was called to be the Young Women President!
To make a long story short - at stake conference 2 weeks ago they combined all of the Spanish and English speaking wards. We were put into a new ward called the Blue Lagoon ward. In our new ward, if you feel more comfortable speaking English, you speak English. If you feel more comfortable speaking Spanish, you speak Spanish. They have headphones available to hear translations in both languages.
I was pretty sad about the changes at first because I had just recently been called as the Young Women advisor over the beehives in our previous ward and only got to serve in that calling for a few months and I absolutely loved it! I loved teaching the girls and getting to know them! I also loved our previous ward because we had SO MANY great young couples to hang out with and we loved having so many fun friends! The new changes split a lot of us up into different wards, so that was upsetting too.
I text a few of my girlfriends that day and told them how sad I was about losing my calling. 3 of them text me back joking that I would be called to be the Young Women president in our new ward. I laughed it off thinking they would never call someone who was in Young Women program herself just 4 years ago! When the 2nd counselor called me and told me the bishop wanted to meet with me, I knew!
I am so excited to work with the girls in our new ward! I already feel so much love for them and feel like so many things in my life have led me to this calling. I am so happy that I completed the Young Women program and was married in the temple so that I can be a good example to these girls and teach them. However, I also feel really inadequate and like I have no clue what I am doing!!!!!!!! I know the Lord will provide a way for me to do everything that I need to do and that He will help me so much! I have already felt His helping hand as I worked through midterms this week and was able to manage my time and handle everything that I have going on. Again, I am so glad I am in this calling and can't wait to have some fun with the girls!!!!!

Date night!
Brett and I decided that we didn't get to spend enough time together last semester and decided to implement an official date night! For our first date, Brett blindfolded me in the car and took me to Seasons 52 which is a really nice restaurant where everything on the menu is less than 475 calories. I had said once while driving by that I really wanted to go there and he remembered, it was so sweet! It was absolutely delicious!
Our second date night was to Moon Thai, our favorite thai restaurant here in Miami.

We then went to Coco Walk to see the movie Just go With it, with Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, and Brookyln Decker. We had some time to kill before our movie so I got some hot chocolate with a Starbucks giftcard that I had been looking for an excuse to use (our realtor gave it to us). Just go With it was AWESOME! I love Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston and thought it was absolutely hilarious! Brett was super embarrassed because I was laughing out loud the entire movie and people were staring. It was fun! Love spending time with my boy!

My handy man
So I have taken so many pictures within the last month and it is too overwhelming to blog them all, but when this happened yesterday I decided I needed to blog them!
I was on the spin bike at the gym and Brett called me saying that he "cut himself." I asked where, he said on his hand and wrist. So here I am thinking he cut a major artery or vein on his wrist. I told him to put pressure on it and asked if I should come home. He said no and then about 2 more minutes into the conversation he said that he needed me home. I literally sprinted off the bike to my car and raced home. I got home to find this:
and this:
Hahahaha He was putting the plastic sweep on the bottom of the glass shower door and the glass door pretty much shattered into his hands. The cut between his knuckles looked pretty deep but it had kind of stopped bleeding so we decided to go to Walgreens and get some medical glue and gause and just remedy it at home. I called Brett's mom (who is a doctor) and as I was talking to her on the phone Brett kinda passed out a little bit. His mom said it was a vasovagal response, which just means a brief loss of consciousness. While on the phone with his mom, I freaked out! I can deal with blood, broken bones, cuts, etc but when he about passed out, I lost it! I was crying and freaking out! There is something about being alone having to take care of someone who isn't conscious that scares the crap out of me!!!!!!! Anyway- after that I decided that we should go to Urgent Care to see if he needed stitches:
Waiting at the Urgent Care

So he ended up getting 3 stitches in the cut on his knuckle and 3 stitches on the cut on his wrist. Glad we decided to see a doctor! He didn't really mind the stitches, but he HATED the 6 numbing shots they gave him before!!! He hates shots!
All wrapped up and ready to go!
My poor boy! All he wanted all night was Taco Bell, so we got him some Taco Bell and went home to watch a movie. He was mostly worried the whole night about his 7 page paper due on Monday because he couldn't move his hand well enough to type(good thing he cut his left hand and not his right). I am just glad that he is okay! I love my boy!

Christmas/Chruchill going away/Finals are over PARTY!!!!!
I had my last final on Tuesday and decided we needed to have a party. Our friends the Churchill's have lived here since the summer for an internship and are now returning to Utah and it is Christmas time. So I decided to have a Christmas/Churchill going away/Finals are over party and squeeze them all into one fun night. Brett and I have been watching a lot of the Office lately and saw the episode with the pizza party so that's was inspired us. It was so much fun! And it was a great way to relax after finals and see our friends before we all leave for the holidays.
